Pinkman almost died - During PaleyFest 2010, the creator of the show, Vince Gilligan, revealed that the screenwriting strike that happened in Hollywood in 2008 'saved' Aaron Paul's character. Jesse Pinkman should have died in episode nine of season one. This never happened because of the strike and also because the whole team agreed that Paul was too good to be taken off the show.
