O. J. Simpson - The American football star was accused of murdering his ex-wife and her alleged boyfriend. In a trial that was closely followed by the media, Simpson was found not guilty, much to the surprise of many. However, 13 years later, he was involved in an armed robbery. In 2008, he was found guilty and sentenced to 33 years in prison, before being released on parole in October 2017.

Carlos Monzón - This Argentinian won the world boxing title in the middleweight category from 1970 to 1977. In 1988, after an argument with Alicia Muñiz, with whom he had a son, Monzón attacked her and she fell from a balcony and died. Despite claiming that the fall was an accident, Monzón was sentenced to 11 years in prison. He died in a car crash in 1995, while on a permitted weekend outside of prison.

Marion Jones - The American Olympic athlete was a track and field star and one of the big names in athletics at the beginning of the 21st century. Jones won three gold and two bronze medals at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. After facing doping charges, she was stripped of her medals and convicted of perjury and obstruction of justice. Jones served six months in prison, two years of probation, and undertook 200 hours of community work.

Rob Probert - Rob Probert was a talented Canadian ice hockey player, known not only for his talent but also for his volatile personality. In 2004 and 2005, after retiring, the former athlete had some problems with the law. Among these was an altercation with bystanders in the middle of the street.
