Diamonds may be a girl's best friend, but Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle (and her ears) have strict rules. All of the British royal women aren't allowed to wear diamonds in the daytime.
Jewelry expert Myka Meier told News.com.au that the royal women have to accessorize based on the occasion AND time of day. She explained, “Before 6pm, you’ll see metallics, gemstones, pearls, sapphires. At night, you’ll see the diamonds come out, and that’s in order to not come across as flashy in your appearance."
Even though the British royal family has access to nearly every gemstone on the market, keeping to strict standards is essential. What's the exception? On Markle's wedding day she absolutely wore sparkly diamond studs.
While the British royal family has a fashion rule book that is nothing short of a Russian novel, this diamond decree may be one of the most interesting! Will Markle stick to code or flash diamonds when she pleases?
