Jonah Hill has evolved from a hilarious comedy actor to a film director and style icon, but did you know he used to a rapper? During an appearance on the radio show, 'The Breakfast Club' Hill let it slip that his original passion was in hip-hop music.

Explaining that he wanted to be a rapper when he was younger Hill said, “Of course I did.” He even told hosts DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne tha God his original MC name. “This is an exclusive. I didn’t have an emcee name, but I made a lot of beats. This is very embarrassing — it was Spindrome. Like syndrome, but spin. It was wack, dude,” he said.

Hill's directorial debut, 'Mid 90s' tells the coming-of-age story of kids experimenting with music, skateboarding, and adult themes at a young age.

“Hip-hop, like skateboarding, is always misrepresented in film,” Hill said. “It’s always shown — people driving through the hood or popping champagne — as some exploitative dumb stereotype. And for me it was it was very important to make an elegant, honest, emotional film, that showed hip-hop as what it is for me, which is the emotional backbone of my childhood.”
