Sprouse appeared on the 'Call Her Daddy' podcast in an episode released on March 8 and shared more details about how difficult it truly was. “The work thing got difficult because it was hard to suspend all of the way we felt about each other, and it didn’t afford us the luxury of distance to overcome that,” he explained. “I know we both did quite a bit of damage to each other.” While he says he and Lili are good friends who work well together today, it certainly took some time to get there.

She continued, "We had a working relationship before we had a personal relationship, and our job from day one has always been to leave the show better than we found it," adding that she's "grateful for my co-stars and their professionalism."
