Christopher Kane strikes again

International fashion weeks have seen some bizarre trends this year, but this has to be the kicker. London Fashion Week saw actual orthopedic shoes strut down the runway, courtesy of designer Christopher Kane.
Kane, the same designer who brought the fashion world bedazzled and fur-covered crocks, is back at it with these unique sneakers.
In collaboration with the orthopedic shoe company, Z-coil, Kane brought glam grandpa shoes to London fashion week. They are jeweled, Velcro sneakers with a circular heel which, according to Vogue, is meant to relieve back and muscle pain.
Ugly sneakers have been on-trend recently, Bella Hadid is always seen sporting New Balance trainers, and the new Yeezy Boost 700 Wave Runner's aren't much different. However, online critics have decided Kane's rhinestone creations are where we have to draw the line.
"It’s reality," Kane told Footwear News of the shoes backstage. "They’re quite weird, but I like an ugly shoe, as you know." Plus, he added: "They’re very good for your back, for your posture."
How much do you think he had to pay the models to be seen in these?
