There is now a self-driving grocery store
Get food sent straight to your house
There is a grocery store on wheels, and it drives itself. Welcome to the future. Dubbed Robomart, it looks a lot like an Uber app, where you request for a grocery car, and it comes straight to your home.
This vehicle turned supermarket allows you to pick out your own produce and products on the spot. Unlike other mobile food delivery services, Robomart combines convenience without losing choice. Robomart has cooling and heating technologies, so everything remains fresh and ready to eat.
Robomart will be most useful in places where grocery stores are few and far between, called food deserts. In some rural areas people have to travel 10-20 mi or more for shopping, so this futuristic design hopes to simplify the commute.
The app is not up and running everywhere yet. So far, the first prototype is delivering food in California to see how it is received. Check out Robomart here to see the food delivery of the future.
