Why microblading could be the answer to your eyebrow woes
Eyebrows "on fleek"
Breaking news! Pencil thin eyebrows are now a thing of the past. Stars such as Cara Delevingne and Zendaya have set the new trend of thick and prominent eyebrows as the new beauty standard.
While many wish to achieve this look, some people simply have thinner eyebrows than others, and makeup doesn’t always cut it.
Unlike the sharpie-esque effect of some permanent makeup, the semipermanent makeup of microblading results in a much more natural look. The procedure uses a feathering technique with cosmetic tattoo pigments to either fill-in, define, or even completely reconstruct the appearance of the eyebrow.
Each fine stroke is meant to look like the hairs themselves, and these new “hairs” blend into the existing eyebrow to create a full and even-toned look.
The entire process takes roughly two hours, and the results last between one and three years. Also, unlike other cosmetic procedures, microblading requires little to no downtime after it is done. According to Brows and Body, the average price from ranges from $350-$800.
While this cost is not insignificant, can you really put a price on waking up with perfect brows?
