The Western world has grown obsessed with Korean beauty trends this year. From sheet masks to glass skin and those over-the-top application tools, skincare routines are becoming more and more complicated.

Take, for example, the infamous 12-step K-Beauty daily routine, which involves cleansers, toners, essences, serums, masks, creams, mists, and so much more. These elaborate regimes are tiring, and they can get pretty expensive too. Enter the skincare trend we've all been waiting for: 'skipcare.'

According to i-D, Korean millennials are ditching the complicated, time-consuming routines and only seeking out products that are essential or that have all-in-one features. The focus is on using less products without sacrificing healthy, beautiful skin.

Simple, faster, and better for your wallet, this minimalist beauty technique is reportedly part of a Korean “cosmetics restriction diet," a spokesperson for a Korean beauty line told i-D.

The industry's pivot to this less-consuming regime means people will have so much more time to do way more important things, like hit the snooze button again. And again. And again—because you can!
