Greta Thunberg and the Fridays for Future movement she started have just received Amnesty International’s Ambassador of Conscience Award for 2019, the human rights organization announced on September 16. But who is Greta really, and how did she get here?

Well she's a 16-year-old schoolgirl, who pretty much lives a politely normal life. That is, except for the fact that she also wants to save the world. The young activist has risen to fame in a short amount of time, with a distinct perspective and message for the world: let's save our planet.
