The renowned artist left his mark in seven works in war-torn parts of Ukraine.  

One work that particularly caught people's eye portrays a man being flipped in judo by a much smaller child, symbolizing the triumph of the underdog. Many have also connected the image to Russian President Vladimir Putin's much-publicized love of the Japanese martial art, especially considering the fact that his honorary black belt was revoked in 2023 by World Taekwondo, though Banksy has not publicly commented on the image.

The image of a woman in a robe and rollers wearing a gas mask and holding a fire extinguisher was painted beside on the wall of a destroyed building in the Ukrainian town of Hostomel, which had been occupied by Russia until April and heavily damaged in the early days of the Russian invasion, Reuters reports.
