Late-1990s pop star Craig David has made a major career comeback recently. Since returning in 2015 with the top ten hit ‘When the Bassline Drops’, David has scored eight charting singles and two number one albums. But the ‘Fill Me In’ singer isn’t too pleased with another ‘90s-era comeback. David has spoken out against a Spice Girls reunion in a new interview. “I just think that for them to come back and pretend that they can throw on those little dresses and just vibe again isn’t authentic, back then it was authentic," David told NME.

The singer went on, “I mean Spice Girls as a group embodied girl power. I think they’ve grown into women now”. David isn’t the only one to speak out against the girl group. The lead singer of Garbage, Shirley Manson, criticised the group in an interview with Vice. “I always hated the term Girl Power”, she said. “At the time, I found the Spice Girls abhorrent”
