While the music of eras past maintain their golden sheen, now is actually one of the craziest times to be alive, with all pre-established genres melding together, producing collaborations previously unheard of. Fortunately for us, that's the case for Ed Sheeran, 50 Cent, and Eminem

50 Cent tweeted a very matter-of-fact statement that set the whole world shuddering with anticipation: "I recorded a song last night with Eminem & ED Sheeran, I had fun doing it we got some heat."

Rumors about a collaboration between Eminem and 50 began earlier this year, NME reports, though the rappers have collaborated several times in the past, the last time being 2012’s ‘My Life.’ Sheeran's involvement, however, adds a whole other furnace to the heat.

During Eminem's Twickenham Stadium show in July, however, the rapper invited both 50 and Sheeran onstage, and took a selfie which immediately went viral.

Sheeran reposted the photo on Instagram, thanking Eminem and telling 50 to "get the strap."

Sheeran had previously worked with Eminem on the track 'River' from his album 'Revival,' but the three-way collaboration will be the first time Sheeran and 50 will work together.

Some people have some peculiar concerns with the collaboration, like one Twitter user who asked, "Why is there not a bigger height difference between 50 cent and Ed Sheeran," adding, "not that it matters, I just figured there would be one."

Others are just plain excited.

One user guessed that Sheeran is "probably shaking," as he's been wanting collaborations with the big-name rappers.

While no further details have been released, it seems we can look forward to Sheeran branching out of his already conquered realm of folk-infused pop to work with some of the greatest rappers alive.
