The winners of the 60th Logies Awards - This year the Logie Awards are celebrating their 60th anniversary. Take a look at the winners of each category, and some of the highs and lows of the event.

The Star - 101 nominees across 20 categories attended The Star Gold Coast in QLD for the 60th Logie Awards.

Welcomed - This year welcomed live voting for all of the 'most popular' categories giving the competition a bit more edge, right up until the announcement.

Dave Hughes - Hughesy opened the Logies with a classic roast. Although mostly funny, he also shocked the audience with mentions of loving Don Burke, who has been accused of inappropriate behaviour by several women.

Julia Morris - The #MeToo movement seemed to be the unintentional theme of the Logies with Hughesy already setting the tone of the evening. Julia Morris' contribution included something far more light-hearted; a version of 'You Can't Touch This'.

Bert Newton - However, a few moments into Bert Newton's address were not so light-hearted. He introduced himself by saying, "Where has this old poof come from?", which was criticised as homophobic.

Criticised - He was also criticised about what he said about the late Graham Kennedy and Don Lane. "You knew if you went to his dressing room it was locked, he will be inside doing some mentoring. Don Lane was a mentor too. He did a hell of a lot of mentoring."

Gold Logie nominees - The nominees for the Gold Logie: the most popular personality on Australian TV included Amanda Keller, Andrew Winter, Grant Denyer, Jessica Marais, Rodger Corser, and Tracy Grimshaw.

Grant Denyer - Denyer won the Gold Logie despite his show, the Australian version of 'Family Feud', being cancelled earlier this year.

Most popular presenter - Survey says Denyer was the most popular presenter and was awarded the top Gold Logie.

Cheryl Denyer - Denyer posed with wife, Cheryl Denyer, on the red carpet.

"Saved me" - Denyer's acceptance speech was an emotional one as he spoke of his hardships and how the show helped him through it. He said, "So 'Family Feud', thank you very much, you saved me.”

Tom Gleeson - After appearing on 'Hard Chat' host Tom Gleeson began campaigning on behalf of Denyer to win the Gold.

#Denyer4Gold - Gleeson called the Logies a joke, but still attended to watch his dreams came true of Denyer taking home the Gold. Even though Denyer called it "unfair", according to News.com.au.

Ray Meagher - Ray Meagher was awarded the Logie for most popular actor in his role of Alf Stewart in 'Home and Away'. He paid tribute to late actress Cornelia Frances who passed away earlier this year.
