>didir="ltr">‘Bodyguard’ is the British drama that’s breaking records. The recent series finale was the most-watched drama in 10 years, with 11 million tuning in for the final five minutes. However, Nadia Sawalha just isn’t on the hype train. The presenter ranted about the show on ‘Loose Women’, criticising the “confusing” story.
Sawalha prefaced her review by saying: “I'm going to be contentious, because I know the nation thinks it's the best thing since sliced bread”. Then, she went in, saying “it's not something I'd normally watch, it was alright. But I don't know if anyone else thinks this, but I think it's just gotten worse and worse and worse”. Sawalha kept the hot takes coming, asking the audience “excuse me, does anybody know what Trigger 18 is? [...] were you not left utterly confused?”.
Rush Langsford, another panellist, chimed in by saying “I had to keep rewinding going, 'Who was that again?’”. Jane Moore concurred, recommending an alternative show to watch. “Listen, if you want a better series, I think ‘Trust’ is a fantastic series”, she said.
What did you think of ‘Bodyguard’? A brilliant British drama or a bit too complicated?
