The hit adult-themed cartoon series 'Family Guy' has a long-standing history of weaving political commentary into the fictional plot. As audiences are anxiously awaiting 17th season premiere, news about a President Donald Trump-themed episode is shocking fans everywhere.

According to reports from Entertainment Weekly, the 'Family Guy' cast will head to Washington D.C. because Peter Griffin becomes a news commentator and then Trump's press secretary. In the two-part episode, teenage Meg Griffin will get "unwelcome" attention from the US President who "crosses the line."

Executive Producer of 'Family Guy' Alec Sulkin explained that the episode is referencing Trump's infamous admission of having a history with grabbing women inappropriately. Sulkin said, "we're just playing to what Trump has already confessed to, say, on a bus... he [Trump] has an encounter like that with Meg."

Though 'Family Guy' is a Fox TV program, Sulkin revealed that the network had no "significant notes" for the controversial episode. He continued to explain that, "Trump continued to be so preposterous on a daily basis that it really made it seem like this was an episode that we had to do."

Season 17 of 'Family Guy' premieres on Sunday, September 30.
