Green Lantern and other LGBTQ superheroes and villains on TV
A new 'Green Lantern' TV series is coming to HBO Max
These days, there are more superhero shows on the air than you can count on both hands. So perhaps it comes as no surprise that on shows where differences (i.e. superpowers!) are celebrated, so are LGBTQ characters. Whether they're superheroes, allies, or villains, there's a growing list of queer characters on your favorite superhero series.
Soon that'll include Green Lantern, or at least one version of the superhero. Producer Greg Berlanti, who is already behind several superhero shows like 'Arrow,' 'The Flash,' and 'Supergirl,' has just had a 'Green Lantern' TV series green-lit by HBO Max. Alan Scott, the aging original Green Lantern of Earth, is openly gay in the comics, and it's reported that he will be featured in the show.
