Star-Lord and other LGBTQ superheroes and villains on-screen
The 'Guardians of the Galaxy' character is revealed to be bisexual
©
BrunoPress

These days, there are more superhero shows on the air than you can count on both hands. So perhaps it comes as no surprise that on shows where differences (i.e. superpowers!) are celebrated, so are LGBTQ characters. Whether they're superheroes, allies, or villains, there's a growing list of queer characters among your favorite superheroes.
A rather unexpected addition is Star-Lord, who in a new 'Guardians of the Galaxy' comic is depicted in a queer relationship. The superhero, also known as Peter Quill, was made famous in the Marvel movies where he's played by Chris Pratt, though it's unclear whether the character's sexuality, revealed in the comic story "I Shall Make You a Star-Lord," will be addressed in any films.
Want to see which LGBTQ superheros made it to the screen? Check out this gallery, full of episode stills and behind-the-scenes images, to discover the best of the batch. It's superqueeroes to the rescue!
