As the Mother of Exiles, America is known for being the land of opportunities that attracts so many people from the four corners of the world. Out of America’s 323.1 million residents, 43.7 million are foreign-born, more than the entire population of California. The concentration of foreign-born residents has increased in all states since 1990, according to the Migration Policy Institute, but some states attract more immigrants than others.
