MOVIES Quentin Tarantino
The last time we heard from Quentin Tarantino was on the release of ‘The Hateful Eight’, the three-hour Oscar-winning epic with an all-star cast. The eccentric director will return with a new film next year. Titled ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’, the film will focus on the infamous Manson family murders. As reported by NME, the story will “take place in Los Angeles in 1969, at the height of hippy Hollywood”.
As expected, the film has picked up some A-List stars for its cast. Leonardo DiCaprio will lead as Rick Dalton, a struggling actor who lives next-door to Hollywood star Sharon Tate. Brad Pitt has also been announced for the film, as well as Tom Cruise, Al Pacino, and Samuel L Jackson. Sharon Tate has not yet been cast, but producers are eyeing up Margot Robbie and Jennifer Lawrence as potential options.
The film will hit cinemas on August 9, 2019.
