Remember late ‘90s Canadian pop music band Prozzak? Known for their animated (literally) music videos, the band is now back with a web series.
Prozzak came to fame with hits like ‘Sucks to Be You,’ ‘Be As,’ and ‘www.nevergetoveryou.’ Many Canadians probably never knew the real life names of band members Jay Levine and James Bryan McCollum, instead knowing them as their animated counterparts Simon and Milo.
Levine and McCollum have both been members of The Philosopher Kings, with the Prozzak project being an offshoot of their time with the band. But despite Prozzak’s early success, by the mid-2000s they were no longer a mainstay in the Canadian music scene.
The band reunited in 2015, performing together again and releasing new singles. Current projects in the works include a new album and, perhaps a bit more surprising, a web series.
“Like, comment and share our new trailer on YT! Every view gets us closer to getting funded by @theIPF,” tweeted Prozzak.
“Prozzak: Love Addicts is a new comedy series starring Simon and Milo, voiced by Jay Levine and James Bryan of Prozzak,” wrote the band on Instagram.
