Daniel Brocklebank has taken to Twitter to hit back at a homophobic argument. The actor, who plays Billy Mayhew on ‘Coronation Street’, is openly gay and has dated co-star Rob Mallard. He posted a screenshot from an online thread, asking “What is your opinion of drag queens around children?”. The top comment said “I’m against drag queens being exposed to children... nails could be broken, wigs pulled off... someone fabulous could get hurt”. Apparently the picture didn’t sit well with Peter Thompson, a Twitter user who replied to Brocklebank with “God created Adam and Eve. Not Adam and Steve”.
“Oh shush”, Brocklebank replied. “If god created all men equal then god created Adam & Steve too”. He went on to say “if you met Adam & Steve & spent some time getting to know them, you’d like them. Adam & Steve are awesome”. His ‘Corrie’ co-star Lucy Fallon chimed in, tweeting “I love Adam and Steve”.
