▲Learn to meditate. This is a very powerful tool that can be employed to banish stress and increase your concentration power. Just ten minutes a day will reduce stress and brighten your outlook.
▲Don't skip breakfast. It's an important meal because it breaks the overnight fasting period. A good breakfast is one that combines proteins, carbohydrates, and other nutrients to stabilize blood sugar levels and boost energy levels.
▲Avoid feeling scatterbrained by organizing your mind before you go to work. Make a list of things to do and prioritize them.
▲Avoid multitasking, even if it's supposed to be a measure of your skills and abilities. Multitasking doesn't let you focus on the more important task at hand.
▲The less distracted you are the more focused you become. Switch the phone to silent mode, and avoid checking emails, Facebook, or Twitter too regularly.
▲There's nothing wrong with taking a short break now and again. If you are able to go outside, enjoy a brief stroll and gather your thoughts. A natural environment really can blow the cobwebs away.
▲Indeed, a natural environment relieves a cluttered mind, so try and recreate this quality where you work.
▲Try and meet deadlines early on in the day. Leave the more menial tasks for your mental low points, for example straight after lunch.
▲A calm, naturally lit workspace embellished with plenty of greenery will invoke a sense of tranquility.
▲That said, some people are early birds. Others are night owls. Everyone has certain peak times when they can hit the ground running. Identify yours, and schedule certain tasks accordingly.
▲You can make your job less of pain by making sure you're comfortable at your work desk. Sitting improperly can cause physical discomfort and, ultimately, mental distraction.
▲Out of a working environment, try and relax in ways that continue to stimulate the mind and keep you focused, activities like painting or even just reading.
▲Always have a plan in mind. Set a time target to achieve an assignment. Completing a task within a given deadline will result in a genuine sense of accomplishment.
▲Adopting a negative attitude is always counterproductive. It's important to focus on positives, and to include this frame of mind in all aspects of your daily life.
▲Focusing on a single goal is not always easy, because the mind is prone to wandering along the way. It's important therefore to block out any irrelevant thoughts and instead concentrate on what is applicable.
▲If it's not possible to escape distracting noise, consider investing in earplugs or headphones.
▲It goes without saying that eating healthily and exercising regularly boosts both mind and body.
▲Seeking the answer without understanding the question is a mistake easily made. To be able to do anything successfully, you must first understand it. Take time to grasp the basics and a adopt a generalized view.
▲Being able to compartmentalize your workload is an admirable quality. However sharing a task with a like-minded individual encourages an exchange of views and ideas that can ease the burden of responsibility and allow one to fully concentrate on a particular aspect of the job.
▲If a job appears menial or repetitive it's very easy to lose focus and, ultimately, interest. Learn to persevere with even the most mechanical of tasks.
▲In fact, cutting off all noise levels is vital when it comes to improving your concentration levels. However, some people actually work better by listening to specially composed concentration music.
▲

And remember, it's vital to get enough shuteye. If your sleep pattern is satisfactory, your power of concentration will endure.

▲Keep all you need within easy reach, things like (healthy) snacks, a water bottle, and, if necessary, your reading or prescription glasses.
▲Engaging the mind, heart, and body in communion with our actions and with life helps develop mindfulness, where even the most mundane activities become causes of profound happiness and contentment.
▲Tempted to give up on a task? Follow the five more rule by doing just five more minutes, five more pages, or five more calculations. This way you'll build up your mental stamina.
▲Candle light mediation is one form of meditation that can help banish internal patterns of worry and encourage the mind to refocus itself.
▲Studies show that chess helps players increase their concentration levels and memory power. It also encourages logical thinking.
▲Besides increasing vocabulary, doing a crossword puzzle can enhance powers of concentration and observation.
▲Adopting a positive outlook on life in general stimulates both mind and body. Concentrate on being happy!
▲Learning to play a musical instrument is an equally rewarding pastime.
