Jamie Oliver reveals unusual parenting technique
Is he taking things too far?
CELEBRITY Tv chefs
Jamie Oliver might have had mixed success in recent years in terms of his business ventures, but at least he's still Britain's favourite TV chef, and has been revealed to have the highest book sales of any of his competitors. Now, Oliver has opened up about his family life, offering some controversial parenting advice. The chef sat down with Woman magazine to discuss family life, and opened up about taking care of five children.
Oliver said a special “spy” app helps him keep track of his kids. He admitted to using Life360, a surveillance app for parents. “The older girls, [wife] Jools and I are all on an app called Life360, which means we can see exactly where everybody is and what route they've gone”, the chef said. “If one of the girls says, 'I'm going to Camden Town' and I can see they've gone to Reading, then we have a problem”, the chef added. He also admitted that his kids can spy on him too. “They can check on me and see how fast I'm driving. It's brilliant”, Oliver revealed.
Readers on social media weren’t as enthusiastic, with some criticising the chef’s decision.
What do you think? Has Jamie Oliver gone too far? Or is the chef just doing his best to be a good parent?
