It’s a dark time for fans of ‘Big Brother’. The reality show has been axed by Channel 5, and it’s unlikely that the show will return any time soon. But what’s coming instead? The guys at Channel 5 have let viewers know what’s next. ‘15 Days’, a four-part thriller, will air during ‘Big Brother’’s time slot. The show will apparently begin with a brutal murder, before dialing back the clock 15 days to reveal the killer.
If that sounds familiar, you may remember ‘35 Diwrnod’, a Welsh-language thriller. That’s what ‘15 Days’ is based on, introducing the gripping story to an English-speaking audience. Channel 5 have also bought ‘Blood’, a six-part Irish drama starring Adrian Dunbar. The story centres on a woman who investigates the mysterious death of her mother.
Fans of ‘Orange Is the New Black’, will have 'Clink to look forward to next year. The drama is set in a women’s prison, and will air on the 5Star channel.
Both ‘Big Brother’ and ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ will come to an end this year. “This is a decision we made based on the evolution of Channel 5 which again is a multi-year process we've been on”, said the CEO of Viacom. Stay tuned for all the latest TV news.
