You may not know his face or even perhaps his name, but Alan Menken has written iconic songs for hit Disney films. In 1993, he won Oscars for Best Original Song and Best Original Music Score (for his work on 'Aladdin').

▲But earlier that year, Helgeland co-won Worst Screenplay at the Razzies for his work on 'The Postman' with Eric Roth, who was later nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay at the Oscars for 'A Star Is Born' (alongside Bradley Cooper and Will Fetters).
▲Brian Helgeland is another talent who thrives behind the scenes of Hollywood. In 1998, he won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for his work on 'L.A. Confidential.'
▲Remarkably, that same year he co-won the Razzie for Worst Original Song, awarded to the song 'High Times' from the film 'Newsies.'
▲Sandra Bullock won Worst Actress at the 2010 Razzies for 'All About Steve,' and even claimed the award herself.
▲Yet the same track was nominated for Worst Original Song at the Razzies.
▲Aerosmith are one of the best-selling bands ever, and have won a few awards too, of course. They were nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song in 1999 for 'I Don't Want to Miss a Thing' from 'Armageddon.'
▲Trisha Yearwood (pictured) recorded the song 'How Do I Live' (written by Diane Warren) from the film 'Con Air.' The track was nominated for Best Original Song at the Oscars in 1998.
▲Yet it was also nominated for Worst Original Song at the Razzies.
▲Prince won multiple Oscars and Razzies. At the 1985 Oscars, he won Best Original Musical and Best Original Song Score for his work on 'Purple Rain.'
▲

Featured in the film 'That's Life!' and sung by Tony Bennett (pictured), 'Life in a Looking Glass' was nominated for Best Original Song at the Oscars in 1987.

▲But that same song was also nominated for Worst Original Song at the Razzies.
▲At the 1987 Razzies, the late entertainer won Worst Director, Worst Actor, and Worst Original Song for 'Under the Cherry Moon.'
▲To many, 'The Bodyguard' is a classic film. It was nominated for two Best Original Song Oscar in 1993, for Whitney Houston's tracks 'Run to You' and 'I Have Nothing.'
▲But that same year, the film scored seven Razzie nominations, with three going to Houston alone, including a nomination for Worst Actress.
▲Later that year, Bullock also showed up to win the Oscar for Best Actress, awarded for her performance in 'The Blind Side.'
▲'Wall Street' won both an Oscar and a Razzie in 1988, while Michael Douglas won the Oscar for Best Actor.
▲'Fifty Shades of Grey' was never billed as a critical smash, but 'Earned It' by The Weeknd still got an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song in 2016.
▲

But the film itself ultimately won Worst Picture at the Razzies, with lead Jamie Dornan winning Worst Actor.

▲With dismal reviews, you may be surprised to read that 'Norbit' got an Oscar nomination for Best Makeup.
▲At the Razzies, however, 'Norbit' scored a whopping eight nominations. Eddie Murphy won both Worst Supporting Actor and Worst Supporting Actress!
▲Following the hit 'Star Wars' trilogy, 'The Phantom Menace' had big shoes to fill. It received three Oscar nominations, for Best Sound, Best Sound Editing, and Best Visual Effects.
▲The film was also nominated for two Razzies, including Worst Supporting Actor for Jared Leto's role as the Joker. He really is their favorite punching bag!
▲However, the Razzies didn't look upon Sofia Coppola kindly. She won Worst New Star and Worst Supporting Actress.
▲The film wasn't much of a critical success, but it still scored an Oscar win for Best Makeup & Hair in 2017.
▲

But 'The Phantom Menace' was considered to be a disappointment by many, and was nominated for seven Razzies in 2000. Ahmed Best ended up winning the Worst Supporting Actor award for playing Jar Jar Binks.

▲

Melissa McCarthy earned high praise for her role in 'Can You Ever Forgive Me?' and scored a Best Actress nomination at the 2019 Oscars.

▲

But her performances in 'The Happytime Murders' and 'Life of the Party' earned her the Worst Actress award at the 2019 Razzies. She did, however, also win The Razzie Redeemer Award for her Oscar-nominated role.

▲

'The Godfather,' along with its sequel, is one of the most celebrated films ever. The third film isn't all that popular, but still scored seven Oscar nominations in 1991, including Best Director for Francis Ford Coppola.

▲

On March 15, 2021, Glenn Close received her eighth Oscar nomination, this time for Best Supporting Actress in 'Hillbilly Elegy.' But she also earned a Razzie nomination for Worst Supporting Actress in the same role. The Netflix film also received Razzie nods for Worst Director and Worst Screenplay.

▲

While 'House of Gucci' earned its cast SAG Award nominations and other substantial recognition in 2022, the Razzies had a slightly different opinion. Oscar-winning actor Jared Leto, who played an unrecognizable Paolo Gucci in the film, drew Razzie noms for Worst Supporting Actor and Worst Couple—the latter nomination paired with his "ridiculous" movie Italian accent, or his "17-pound latex face," according to the Golden Raspberry Foundation.

With awards season in full swing, fresh attention is given to the Oscar nominees, as the nod alone seems to elevate their reputations. But the nominated talent aren't always worthy of praise, according to the Golden Raspberry Awards, that is. Also known as the Razzies, this alternative awards show hands out prizes for what they deem the worst performances of the year.

Indeed, there are several beloved Hollywood stars who have been nominated for both an Oscar and a Razzie, and sometimes even for the same film. Take a look through this gallery to meet the stars and movies that have been up for both Oscars and Razzies. Click on!

Diane Keaton is another Oscar winner and regular nominee who has now found herself in the running for the dubious honor of Worst Actress at the 2023 Razzies. She's been nominated for her role in the 2022 comedy 'Mack & Rita.' Mack is a young influencer who is grumpy beyond her years and is transformed into a 70-year-old version of herself named Aunt Rita, played by Diane Keaton.

▲

A Razzie's favorite, Jared Leto has received another nomination from the Golden Raspberry Comittee. He starred as the villain in the 2022 Spider-Man spinoff 'Morbius,' which was panned by critics and has earned a total of five Razzie nominations in various categories. Leto has been nominated for Worst Actor.

▲

Hanks might be one of the most beloved actors in Hollywood, but clearly, this provides him no protection. He has been nominated a second time for his performance in Baz Luhrmann's epic 2022 'Elvis.' Hanks donned a fat suit, prosthetics, and a bizarre accent to play Elvis' manager, the dutch Colonel Tom Parker. This performance earned him a nomination for Worst Supporting Actor.

▲

Tom Hanks has won two Oscars and has been nominated for many more during his lengthy and distinguished career. However, this doesn't protect him from the critical eye of the Razzies! He's been nominated for Worst Actor for the role of Geppetto in 'Pinocchio.' His fellow nominees include Machine Gun Kelly and Pete Davidson.
