▲How is it that whenever a character comes in and asks someone to turn on the news, they automatically turn the TV on to the exact right channel at the exact right moment?

▲Bad guys have terrible aim. It doesn't matter how many there are, they always end up firing their automatic guns at walls, windows, cars, the floor, you name it.

▲There seems to be a problem with lots of microphones in movies. Have you noticed how much feedback they make as soon as they're turned on? Nothing a good tapping won't solve though.

▲The moment has come. Our hero says something remarkable, one person starts slowly clapping, followed by the rest of the crowd. And of course it ends in a standing ovation.

▲Why don't the elevator doors open when you're running away from, or chasing, the bad guys? Press the button, press the button!

▲If only we all knew the same choreography and burst out dancing in the middle of the street for no apparent reason. That's musicals for you.

▲Need to hack into a high security system? Need to find information about a person? No problem at all. Just get a computer nerd friend to do it for you—it's that simple.

▲Chasing someone and they're driving away? No problem, just get in a cab ask the driver to follow the car! The driver will duly comply.

▲Airport security in movies is completely useless. Need to say goodbye to the love of your life who's just boarding the plane? Please go through. Carrying a gun and chasing a bad guy? After you, sir.

▲Apparently jumping with your car won't wreck it. You can just keep going!

▲How cool are fight scenes in movies? The fights always start out balanced, and of course everyone knows how to fight. The good guys have an amazing pain tolerance throughout, and they always win at the end.

▲Don't you love it when a group of newbies train for something and beat the pros at their game?

▲Teenagers seem to spend a whole lot of time hanging out next to their lockers. It's clearly the hottest spot in the whole high school. When exactly are they in class?

▲If someone fires a gun at you, all you need to do is duck behind a car. You'll be safe there. Unless of course a bullet hits the fuel tank. In which case, the car will explode immediately.

▲We love it when a bully gets a taste of their own medicine. Unfortunately, in real life this doesn't happen as often as we'd like.

▲It doesn't matter if you lied about your identity or did something terrible, love will always win out in the end.

▲How easy is it to have a conversation in a nightclub? Very easy. Never mind the loud music and the noisy crowd of people around you.

▲Instead of mumbling some random words, in movies people talk clearly, and more often than not, the person that needs to listen to those words is present.

▲If you ever need to hide, escape, or sneak into a building, the air vent is the answer.

▲Kissing in the rain. Who never, right? Because umbrellas are so boring and going indoors would be so unromantic.

When a group of bad guys attacks you, they usually do it one at a time, so you have a chance to have a fair one-on-one fight. Easy, right?

▲Trying to escape the bad guys? Surely you'll just bump into a street party, a parade, or any other big crowd, so you can just blend right in and go unnoticed.

Apparently it's normal to walk around with your face and clothes covered in blood and dirt. Especially because nobody seems to notice.

A single light source such as a lighter or a fire torch is usually enough to light up an entire room.
