After a successful 11 seasons, Showtime's 'Shameless' aired its series finale on April 11, 2021, called "Father Frank, Full of Grace." But the episode left many fans of the Gallagher crew less than satisfied, as the troubled patriarch, played by William H. Macy, dies of COVID-19 and many questions about other characters go unanswered. There was also unfulfilled hope among fans that Emmy Rossum, who left the show in season nine, would return for the finale to reprise her role, though old footage was included.
