▲Miami is often noted for its rich Latin American culture, and this is perhaps most evident in this vibrant neighborhood just west of downtown. If you want to experience authentic Cuban art and cuisine, then this is the place to be.
▲On the famed colorful street of Calle Ocho, you may feel more like you have stepped foot in the Caribbean island's capital, with Cuban cigar shops lining the streets and locals hashing out a game of dominoes at Maximo Gomez Park.
▲In 2009, visionaries Tony Goldman and Jeffrey Deitch pioneered a project to transform an area of abandoned warehouses in Miami into a masterpiece. Nearly 10 years later, this neighborhood has become one of the world's largest outdoor mural exhibits.
▲This massive masterpiece remains one of the most impressive architectural feats in American history. One man by the name of Edward Leedskalnin single-handedly constructed this castle out of 1,100 lbs (almost 500 kg) of coral rock.
▲

How this five-foot-tall (1.52 m) man weighing a mere 100 lbs (45 kg) was able to complete this immense project continues to baffle scientists to this day.

▲This tropical zoological theme park provides impressive views of the Miami skyline, and it is home to thousands of exotic animals.
▲This adventure park truly has it all. It features zip lines, escape rooms, an outdoor wind tunnel, and even a Nerf battle stadium.
▲Just 15 minutes outside of Miami, in the town of Coral Gables, is a poolside paradise unlike any other. This giant pool is completely fed by spring water, which is drained and filled daily.
▲Opened in 1924, this Mediterranean-inspired pool with picturesque waterfalls and cave-like grottos was largely built out of coral rock. Outside of the water, the historic lookout towers at the entrance are also an impressive sight to behold.
▲Walk into a wonderland at Miami's fantasy-like botanical gardens. It's like stepping into a rain forest, as you're surrounded by an array of vines, bright flowers, and rare tropical plants.
▲This mystical 83-acre oasis is typically a space of peace and tranquility, but if you're looking for a bit more action, they also host festivals and light shows all year round.
▲Come visit this classic car collection in North Miami and get a taste of old Hollywood. Here you can see the famed Batman and James Bond cars up close and personal.
▲The entire exhibit is spread out over 250,000 sq ft (23,226 sq m), with more than 1,000 vintage vehicles to enjoy. Whether you are a fan of European cars, American cars, motorcycles, or even military vehicles, they have it all.
▲Get away from the craziness of downtown Miami and enter a true oasis in the mangrove trails of southern Florida. Depending on how long you want to be out on the water, you can rent kayaks by the hour or for a full day of leisure.
▲Towering above Miami Dade College in the heart of downtown, this bright building stands as a powerful historical symbol for Cuban-Americans across the city.
▲Often called the Ellis Island of the South, this historic landmark processed thousands of Cuban refugees between 1962 and 1974 when the Cold War was well underway.
▲The astounding estate of businessman and socialite James Deering was built between 1914 and 1922 for the hefty price of US$15 million. It has since been purchased by the Miami-Dade County and is completely open to the public.
▲The stunning Mediterranean-style structure boasts extensive Italian Renaissance gardens, Tuscan-style outbuildings, and wondrous woodlands surrounding the property.
▲Though it doesn't get nearly the amount of buzz as Yellowstone or Yosemite National Park, this 1.5-million-acre wetlands preserve is one stop that can't be missed on a trip to southern Florida.
▲

The marshes and mangroves of the park are home to hundreds of animal species, including the West Indian manatee and the Florida panther.

▲This luxury hotel and resort in Coral Gables truly is glitz and glamour paired with a fascinating history. It was here that the notorious mob boss Al Capone set off deadly shots in one of the suites. There are still bullet hole marks in the fireplace to this day.
▲Take a trip to the Mediterranean without a pricey flight and experience the hotel's stunning mixture of Spanish, Italian, and Moorish architecture. If that wasn't enough, the resort is set on 150 acres of jaw-dropping tropical landscape.
▲From South Beach and beyond, Miami is home to endless amounts of colorful art deco buildings that are sure to give your Instagram posts just the pop of color that they need.
▲This open-air market in Downtown Miami is home to a variety of vintage thrift shops, trendy local boutiques, and an array of international retailers.
▲

This scenic marketplace was regularly featured on 'Miami Vice' during its five-season run. It's especially popular on the weekends when street performers and musicians line the streets.

▲Whether or not you're a baseball fan, a Sunday taking in the enthusiastic cheers and cheap hot dogs of a Miami sports stadium is a day well spent.
▲As one of the most colorful cityscapes in America, the bright pastel buildings and neon lights of the Ocean Drive strip near South Beach are as eye-catching as it gets.
▲Every year, artists from around the globe come to breathe life, vibrancy, and color into a once run-down Miami neighborhood. Some of the areas most prominent contributors include Aiko from Tokyo, Maya Hayuk from Brooklyn, and Os Gemeos from São Paulo.
▲

Who knew that Miami would be the go-to spot for rejuvenating Turkish baths? This relaxing combination of steamy saunas and magnificent massage bars founded in 1982 are the perfect break after a long week.
