Climate change is one of the most burning issues of our time. According to a worrying United Nations report, the planet is heading toward a catastrophic 1.5ºC (2.7ºF) of global warming as soon as 2030.
Though climate change was once viewed as a topic to be debated, its existence is now widely accepted and even regarded as a "global emergency." The biggest global poll conducted on tackling climate change surveyed more than a million people across 50 countries. The poll, organized by the United Nations Development Programme, found that across all countries, 64% of participants saw climate change as an emergency, requiring urgent responses. Predictably, Greta Thunberg's generation saw a higher percentage, but seeing the proof that people everywhere actually care about climate change could inspire great change.
Nonprofit organization Project Drawdown has ranked the most effective climate change solutions that can be undertaken by individuals, companies, or policymakers to help reverse this dire trend. And you'll be surprised by just how simple some of them are.
