Fashion search engine Lyst has just released its Year in Fashion report which looked at data from online search results, page views, and sales metrics across six million fashion products. Using that information, they determined “The 10 celebrities whose personal style choices drove the biggest spikes in searches, sales, news coverage and social media mentions over the last 12 months.” 

This year’s list is incredibly diverse, with some obvious names and some surprising up-and-comers. Click through to see the best three looks of each of the top 10 most influential fashion stars of 2019. 

▲When the 'Pose' actor wore a custom tuxedo-gown hybrid by Christian Siriano to the Oscars, searches for the designer reportedly increased 101% in 24 hours.
▲Porter delivered some of the most viral red carpet looks of the year, including his show-stopping Met Gala look, which included being carried in by six gold-clad men.
▲He again rocked the red carpet at the Emmys, where he also made history as the first openly gay black man to win Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.
▲To the Met Gala in May, the singer really hit his stride in androgynous wear with these high-waisted black trousers and a sheer frilly top.
▲People especially went crazy for his single earring, which drove men’s searches for single earrings up 28%.
▲He also inspired a 78% increase in searches for blue suits after this vibrant look he sported in March. 
▲People finally caught on to the magic of Lizzo in 2019, and demand for her signature leotards rose 28%.
▲The MTV VMAs were a pivotal fashion moment for her as well, and included the '80s lilac off-the-shoulder dress which she wore while she and Sophie Turner famously fangirled over each other.
▲The singer's fashion has been a breakout search term since September, and she's made great strides for underrepresented body types in Hollywood.
▲Though Jenner has slipped from the top spot to seventh place among celebrity fashion influencers since 2018, she continues to drive mass global demand for her outfits.
▲Most notably, a floral milkmaid dress she wore in August caused a 66% spike in searches for the style.
▲She also broke the unwritten wedding guest rules and wore a show-stopping gold dress to Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin’s nuptials, driving more searches than the bride herself.
▲This specific member of the girl group Blackpink became the most followed K-Pop idol on Instagram in 2019.
▲Over the summer she'd posted photos of herself wearing the Celine Triomphe bag, and searches for the accessory consequently increased by 66%. 
▲She currently has over 27 million followers, and it's only going up.
▲The rapper sent the internet into a frenzy with the vintage Mugler gown she wore to the Grammy Awards. Searches for the designer spiked 169% in just four hours.
▲Cardi B also garnered the most online buzz during Fashion Week in September, specifically with her outfits by Chanel (pictured), Thom Browne, and Richard Quinn.
▲And let’s not forget her successfully camp Met Gala look.
▲At just 17 years old, the singer-songwriter with a very unique style has over 42 million followers on Instagram.
▲She drove up searches for the neon green color by 69% after wearing several neon green outfits and dyeing her hair.
▲She also increased searches for the brand BBCICECREAM an impressive 211% after she tagged them in an Instagram post.
▲The stylish girl taking over the world has sparked millions of searches from her Instagram posts alone.
▲After the Met Gala, her magical light-up Cinderella gown by Tommy Hilfiger caused a 54% increase in searches for the brand.
▲More recently, the gorgeous green Vera Wang gown she wore to the Emmy Awards caused a 33% surge in searches for the brand.
▲The young actor's embellished Louis Vuitton harness at the Golden Globes established him as one to watch. 
▲And he did not disappoint! After he wore this innovative look, searches for the designer Haider Ackermann spiked 806%.
▲The sequin hoodie he wore to the UK premiere of 'The King' also sparked a 192% rise in searches for men’s hoodies. His style has certainly come a long way.
▲The Duchess of Sussex reigns supreme as the most powerful dresser of 2019, even through maternity! Her outfits sparked, on average, a 216% increase in searches for similar looks.
▲She most notably made the shirt-dress popular again, and searches for the category grew 45% over a month following her Royal Tour to South Africa.
▲

The Club Monaco dress she wore to meet Desmond Tutu sold out in less than 24 hours, following a 570% spike in searches, and another J. Crew skirt she wore saw a 102% increase in searches.
