That's exactly what she did when she served as the officiant of a lesbian wedding on her Facebook Messenger series 'Cardi Tries.' The episode was filmed in July, but it aired on the LGBTQ+ awareness holiday, National Coming Out Day, which is celebrated on October 11. Cardi was also joined by actress Raven Symonè, who served as brides Brandi Taylor and Shannon Herbert's ring bearer. “Being a part of a same-sex marriage is important so that people see that there’s differences [from heterosexual unions], obviously, but there are also similarities,” Symonè explained.
