▲During an interview with Beats 1, Cardi said family comes above everything else for her.
▲The rapper, pictured here with friend DJ Khaled and his baby boy, said: "Family is my peace of mind. I love my family. If I were to have a camera with me, people would see that I speak to my dad every single day. My dad is my best friend... My family. I love them."
▲Feminism isn't often discussed in the world of hip hop, but Cardi is all about bringing her ladies together (she featured SZA and Kehlani in her debut album) and she's often vocal about women's rights.
▲She told XXL: "It’s hard as a woman to be in the game. The women that inspire me to be honest are the women that struggle."
▲She also said she tries to inspire other women to find their niche and work hard: "A feminist is a woman that is empowering other women to get that bread, to be the best that they can be."
▲Even though Cardi is unapologetically supportive of other women, you better watch out because she doesn't like when people step on her toes!
▲We'll never forget that infamous line from her time on reality TV show 'Love & Hip Hop: New York:' "If a girl have beef with me, she gon' have beef with me... foreva."
▲The Bronx rapper once told Dazed: "I’d rather have money and be broken-hearted than be broke and broken-hearted."
▲During a BET interview, Cardi also shared some very important knowledge about love, according to NME: "Once a guy has sex with you more than five times, he loves you."
▲It was rumored earlier on in their relationship that Offset had been cheating on Cardi, ever since leaked videos from his iCloud account allegedly showed him with another woman back in September 2017.
▲Addressing the rumors in an interview with Cosmopolitan, Cardi complained about nosy people and said the best thing to do is ignore the unfounded opinions.
▲"It’s like everybody is coming down my neck like, 'Why are you not leaving him? You have low self-esteem.' I don’t have low self-esteem. I want to work out my s*** with my man, and I don’t got to explain why. I’m not your property. This is my life."
▲According to NME, she said during an Instagram live: "I've been hanging around a lot of people that’s wealthy, that is rich, that is famous… One thing I learned is that no matter how much money you have, no matter how big you are, how famous you are — they will still end up stealing your charger and your lighter."
▲Cardi has a unique personality and she's not ashamed to show it at all times. A huge part of her popularity is in fact due to her full-mouthed persona, and she constantly advises her fans to stay true to themselves.
▲She expressed her annoyance when she discussed the issue with XXL: "People are afraid to be themselves because people are afraid to be recorded. Everything is being recorded and everyone is so sensitive. You say something; a section of people will be offended. It’s so annoying; you got to be completely censored."
▲According to Mashable, she said on an Instagram post: "You wanna know how rich people like me stay rich? By staying on a budget."
▲Right before the end of 2017, Cardi reminded everyone of what is at the core of her success. She told her Instagram fans: "Remain humble but stay hungry."
▲She also posted a video on Facebook in 2018 where she said: "If you say that you're humble, you're not humble. You gotta wait until somebody tells you that you're humble."
▲The hit-maker also likes to inspire her younger fans. In a video posted to her Facebook, she dropped some words of advice to all college students.
▲Cardi said: "I just want to tell you college kids that I know sometimes it gets discouraging because you see people around your age making money on Instagram ... Don't get discouraged, just see it as my wealth and my richness is on layaway."
▲We all know Cardi is the realest babe in the music industry, so it's no wonder she only surrounds herself with genuine people. As reported by Mashable, she said during an Instagram video post: "The people that I work with and my friends, I've been around them for years. And you wanna know why? Because I know how to pick people. I know how to read people and their vibe."
▲She added: "So when it comes to the industry, when people reach out to me and when they talk to me, I feel when they're being genuine. So here's what I'm saying: save your time. Don't reach out to me, because I know when you're being fake."
▲She said traps should be posted weekly or biweekly. "Do much, but don't do too much" is her main advice.
▲Even though money keeps rolling in for her, Cardi is actually concerned about her and her family's future, which is why she works relentlessly.
▲

She told Rolling Stone: "I need to make money for my family and my future family. I'm not a YOLO person. I think 25 years from now. I think about my future kids, future husband, future house."
