In 2021 it was Naya Rivera who was left out of the Grammy broadcast, though she was included in a larger In Memoriam list published online by the Recording Academy. Still, fans were upset that the star, whose accidental death in July 2020 rocked the entertainment world, was not honored on TV. After all, Rivera was nominated in 2010 for a Grammy as a member of the 'Glee' cast for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for 'Don’t Stop Believin'.
