MOVIES Deaths

Countless talented musicians have met untimely ends, sometimes in freak accidents, other times in gang feuds, and certainly far too many times due to drug overdoses.

Rapper Lil Keed was a rising star in the Atlanta scene when his life was cut short at just 24. He died on May 13, first confirmed online by his younger brother, Lil Gotit, who posted an emotional Instagram tribute in the early hours of Saturday morning, though the cause of death is still unknown. "Can't believe I seened u die today bro I did all my cries I know what u want me to do and that's go hard for Mama Daddy Our Brothers Naychur and Whiteboy," Lil Gotit wrote in his Instagram caption.

Born Raqhid Render, Lil Keed rose to fame with hits including 'Oh My God' and 'Nameless,' and was signed to Young Thug's YSL Records. The label tweeted on May 15, "A member of our family is gone. Lil Keed was one of the most genuine and heartfelt human beings. He was an artist who loved his fans more than anything else. We lost a brother, a son, a father, and a friend. Keep him in your prayers and his legacy alive. Long Live Lil Keed." He is survived by his daughter, Naychur, and girlfriend Quana Bandz who wrote in an emotional post on Instagram that she is expecting their second child.
