Since 9/11, major terrorist attacks have continued to occur in North America, Europe, and beyond. Anxiety levels are still high, not only because of local citizens, but also due to the amount of tourists that visit these regions.

▲Two commercial airplanes are hijacked, and crashed into the World Trade Center complex in New York City, and a third plane crashes into the Pentagon. 2,996 people die and over 6,000 are left injured.
▲Bombs are detonated in four Madrid commuter trains during the morning rush hour, killing over 191 people and injuring around 2,000.
▲Suicide-bombers blow themselves up in London. The targets are three underground trains and a bus. The attack kills 52 people and injures over 700.
▲Two U.S. airmen are shot dead and two people are injured in an attack at Frankfurt Airport.
▲Far-right terrorist Anders Behring Breivik plants a car bomb in Oslo followed by a mass shooting at a youth camp on Norway's Utoya island. The attack kills 77 people, mostly teenagers.
▲Mohammed Merah carries out attacks in Toulouse and Montauban, France. He kills three Jewish schoolchildren, a rabbi, and three French Army soldiers.
▲Two homemade bombs are detonated close to the finish line of the Boston Marathon, killing three people and injuring about 264.
▲British Army soldier Lee Rigby is attacked and killed in a London street.
▲Four people are killed in a terrorist attack at the Jewish Museum in Brussels.

▲A terrorist drives a truck through a Christmas market in Berlin, Germany, killing 12 people.

▲A man drives into a pedestrian shopping street and department store in Stockholm, Sweden. The attack kills five people and injures over a dozen.
▲A suicide-bomber detonates a device in the foyer area of the Manchester Arena during an Ariana Grande concert. Ultimately 22 people were killed and dozens more are left injured.
▲Terrorists plow through pedestrians on London Bridge and stab people in Borough Market. The London attack kills eight people and injures almost 50.
