▲It turns out that Robin was obsessed with the Canadian-American actor, best known for being David Letterman's sidekick. So much so that she had to get a restraining order, but then released and performed a new track called 'P.S. I Love You'—P.S. stood for Paul Shaffer.

▲"Canadian Thanksgiving celebrates explorer Martin Frobisher's valiant yet ultimately unsuccessful attempt to find the Northwest Passage," she said. "Why are you guys even a country?" he replied.

▲He told her, "Canadians helped win two World Wars, and gave the world Neil Young, William Shatner, Leonard Cohen, Pamela Anderson, one quarter of Barney Stinson, instant mashed potatoes, and best of all... you." Swoon, eh?

▲Her full name is Jacoba Francisca Maria Smulders, and she's married to 'Saturday Night Live' alum Taran Killam (who also appeared in the show).

▲Macleans asked Smulders about her Canadian identity, and she said, "I like to bring it with me wherever I go. It's always in my back pocket."
