The show is set in 1467, with da Vinci being best friends with Niccolò Machiavelli, who was actually born in 1469. And for his part, da Vinci was born in 1452. A bit of a stretch all around...
But at one point, Ron Woodroof (Matthew McConaughey) is seen in front of a poster of a Lamborghini Aventador, which came out in 2011...
At one point, the audience can see a pair of Converse sneakers in a shot. However, this was actually intentional, to help make historical figures more relatable.
Now that you're here, you can also read about the historical "facts" that are anything but factual.
Set in the mid-1800s, it's pretty obvious that a Hydro Flask and a Poland Spring water bottle had no business being in the background of Greta Gerwig’s 'Little Women.' Yet that's exactly what happened!
Other viewers also spotted a telecoms manhole cover, as well as posters for the retail store Primark.
Shonda Rhimes' hit Netflix series 'Bridgerton' has attracted a huge audience, which is great but also means that ever more watchful eyes are trained on production for mistakes. But who would have thought they'd find some in the premiere episode? That's right, eagle-eyed viewers noticed that the Regency-era drama had a splash of modernity in it. The episode begins with a scene showing the town square, spotted with horse-drawn buggies and elaborate costumes, but one shot reveals a yellow traffic line atop the cobblestone street, which didn't originate until the 1940s, according to CNN.
'Braveheart' was one of the biggest films at the time of its release, with many awards, media attention, and drama.
During one episode set in 1743, characters Claire and Geillis Duncan are prosecuted for witchcraft. Only one problem: witchcraft wasn't a crime past 1735, and accusing someone of being a witch was actually illegal!

A glaring error was caught by fans in Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer'; the critically acclaimed film about the scientist who helped develop the atomic bomb. In one scene, Oppenheimer stands in front of a crowd of people in Los Alamos in 1945, and people in the crowd are waving US flags which have 50 stars. To most people this wouldn't be cause for concern, but history buffs know that the 50-star flag didn't exist until 1959 when then-president Eisenhower officially established it with Executive Order 10834.

An incredibly glaring error made it into the final cut of an episode of 'Emily in Paris.' In episode three of the third season, Emily (played by Lily Collins) walks around a hotel room in Paris and fans noticed that the one and only Eiffel Tower can be seen out of two different windows! The show already includes the iconic landmark in as many scenes as possible, and TikTok users were quick to make fun of the mistake. "Fun fact: the Eiffel Tower exists outside of space-time and can appear within eyesight of anyone in Paris no matter which direction they're facing," one user joked.
