Let's face it, there are some jobs that are just pretty unpopular. Traffic wardens and tax collectors are two types of workers who get a bad rep around the world. But it's not just them, as stock traders and school principals are also among the most-disliked jobs, according to lists and forums across the net. However, maybe there's an important lesson to learn from these disliked careers. Click on to read these facts about the world's most-hated jobs.

▲Let's face it, a lot of people don't like paying their taxes. Makes sense then, why tax collectors and examiners are not well liked.
▲People have felt victimized by tax examiners, who have been alleged to subject clients to time-absorbing audits.
▲Politicians have been disliked for thousands of years, and things aren't much different nowadays. People who work in politics have been criticized for being dishonest.
▲Politicians tend to be well-paid, and are disliked for allegedly not representing the people who voted them into power.
▲Dentists strike fear in the heart of many kids around the world. Despite doing great work, dentists are still feared, and thus disliked, by far too many.
▲Many suffer from so-called "dental anxiety," which is being made uncomfortable for a variety of reasons, anything from the smell, to the chair, to the lack of control.
▲Real estate agents have been criticized for being in it for themselves, as they often benefit from working as an individual. Lack of communication and respect have also been listed as reasons for disliking real estate agents.
▲Agents have also been criticized for not being transparent with clients, instead fabricating stories to sell a property.
▲Being a car mechanic is tough, but the job has been badly stereotyped, with some mechanics being labeled dishonest and slow-working.
▲Customers have said they feel pressured to pay for services that they don't understand. Other customers feel that mechanics don't have their best interests at heart.
▲Stock traders are painted a certain way in the media, money-makers who'll do anything for a quick buck. In the words of Michael Douglas' character in 'Wall Street,' "Greed is good."
▲What is a stock trader? It's someone who buys and sells stock for their inventors. It's a high-intensity job, which requires quick decision-making and a bit of luck too.
▲The principal's office is a scary place for a school child. Many kids dislike school, so they're bound to hate the person in charge of operations.
▲In reality, principals are hard-working humans with a huge deal of responsibility. They may clash with kids and parents alike, but also offer emotional support on top of their rigorous admin work.
▲Stereotyped as greasy-haired liars in movies and TV shows, used car salesmen could maybe have a bit more respect.
▲Among other reasons, people dislike used car salesmen for being persistent in their sales tactics, supposedly adding on products and extra services to their customers' bill.
▲

Lawyers guide their clients through the mysterious world of the justice system. Unfortunately, said system is slow and imperfect, and lawyers get the brunt of a client's criticism.

▲Of course, with money involved, relationships between a client and lawyer can be strained. Expensive fees often contribute to negative attitudes towards lawyers.
▲In this climate, more and more people have been critical of journalists, especially TV news anchors.
▲Often, people shoot the messenger by criticizing anchors for broadcasting bad news.
▲People who work in insurance are tasked with persuading people to buy policies for their own good. Similar to lawyers, you only deal with insurers in times of crisis.
▲Otherwise, people pay insurance companies like they pay the water or electricity bill. Insurers are criticized for penny-pinching, and using technicalities to squeeze money from their clients.
▲Surely you saw this one coming. Traffic wardens are one of the most disliked people on the roads, sometimes due to being unpredictable and striking when you least expect.
▲In reality, being a traffic warden isn't too easy. It's a job which involves a lot of travel, as well as exposure to noise and air pollution.
▲Customer care executives are other workers who get a bad rep. Being a good customer service worker requires being very empathetic and understanding, which can be hard to keep up day-in, and day-out.
▲People who work in customer service are criticized for not being able to solve clients' problems as quickly as possible, or not being able to fix something outside of their job description. It's a challenging job that could do with a bit more respect.
▲Another tough one, despite protecting and serving, police are criticized in just about every country around the world.
▲Police have been critiqued for a variety of reasons, including abusing their position of power. However, while this may be true of some, it's impossible to lump all police workers into one pile.
▲Landlords are instinctively disliked by renters around the world, painted as bad guys for allegedly raising the rent and pricing out people.
▲

Dilemmas with deposits are another reason people don't trust landlords, who also stand accused of intruding on personal space during inspections.
