Even today, people often have a very narrow idea of what Latinos look like. Common stereotypes include having tanned skin, dark hair, and, of course, speaking Spanish. But the truth is that Latinos fall on no particular spot on the spectrum.

Known for her deadpan comedic deliveries, Aubrey Plaza landed her breakthrough role on 'Parks and Recreation.' And after appearing on 'White Lotus,' Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2023.

The actress is half Puerto Rican on her dad's side, and much of her family still lives there.

One of the best-selling music artists of all time, Bruno Mars is known for his retro showmanship and for performing in a wide range of musical styles, including pop, R&B, funk, and soul.

Actress and fashion designer Nicole Richie first came to prominence after appearing in the reality show 'The Simple Life', in which she starred alongside Paris Hilton.

The adopted daughter of singer Lionel Richie, she actually has some Mexican heritage in her.

From rising to fame as a Disney star to branching out with music, Demi Lovato is one of the most successful artists of her generation.

And she's also part Latina! Lovato's father was of Mexican origin, while her mother is of English and Irish descent.

Best known for her role as Kat Hernandez on the HBO series 'Euphoria,' Barbie Ferreira started out as a model before transitioning into acting.

Born in New York and raised in New Jersey, both of Ferreira's parents are Brazilian.

Named the best actor of his generation by Vanity Fair in 2017, the Hollywood star is known for his versatility. He has also been credited with breaking stereotypes about Latino characters.

Born Óscar Isaac Hernández Estrada in Guatemala, Isaac moved to the US with his family as an infant. His mother was Guatemalan and his father is Cuban.

Having gained prominence for her role as CeCe Jones on Disney Channel's 'Shake It Up,' Bella Thorne has since appeared in numerous films. Outside of acting, Thorne has also ventured into music.

Originally from Pembroke Pines in Florida, Thorne's father was Cuban. Her first language was Spanish.

One of the most popular female rappers out there, Cardi B was the first female solo artist to win the Grammy for Best Rap Album.

Born and raised in New York, her father is Dominican and her mother is a Trinidadian of African and Spanish descent. Cardi B identifies as Afro-Latina.

An actor, comedian, and musician, Fred Armisen is best known for being on 'Saturday Night Live' and 'Portlandia.' He's also the bandleader and frequent drummer for the 'Late Night with Seth Meyers' house band, The 8G Band.

Since the early '90s, Danish supermodel Helena Christensen has graced the covers of the biggest fashion magazines and has been the face of countless campaigns. She was also the co-founder and original creative director for Nylon magazine.

Helena Christensen was born and raised in Copenhagen to a Peruvian mother, making her part Latina.

Cameron Diaz shot to fame in the '90s after starring in 'The Mask' in 1994. The Hollywood star has been in the spotlight ever since (even during her brief retirement).

The actress' father, Emilio Diaz, came from a Cuban family. Her ancestors had originally moved from Spain to Cuba.

Actress Rosario Dawson has appeared in a variety of movies, including 'Rent' (2005), 'Sin City' (2005), and 'Grindhouse' (2007). She's also known for her political activism.

Dawson is of Cuban and Puerto Rican heritage on her mother's side. In 2004, she co-founded the nonprofit Voto Latino, which encourages young Latinos to vote and to become more politically active.

Born in Panama City to an American father and a Brazilian mother, Brewster lived in Brazil from the ages of six to 10. Her family then moved to New York.

Best known for playing the title character in 'Malcolm in the Middle', Frankie Muniz is also a professional race car driver.

Born Francisco Muniz IV, his father is Puerto Rican of Spanish descent from Asturias.
