Planning ahead of time - He says he's had the idea for this gallery for the past six months.

Friendly neighbors - Weggen currently has six different red squirrels coming into his garden in search of food, and thought that they would make great photo subjects.

Tiny props - He had to buy the squirrel-sized props from specialty shops near his home in Sweden.

Will pose for food - Using various nuts and seeds, he lured the squirrels into his studio, creating some very festive and humorous poses.

Outdoor illusion - In order to avoid waiting outside in the cold, Weggen developed a clever trick to photograph these outdoor scenes from a comfy place.

The outdoors... indoors? - He built a mini studio, and connected it to one of his windows. Without a roof, the squirrels can climb in and out to get the food out of the props!

The most difficult pose - Capturing these squirrels perfectly is a challenge at any time, but Weggen has stated that the hardest pose to get was the squirrel in the Santa suit.

Tricks for success - In order to get the squirrel into the suit, he froze it with seeds inside. That way, the squirrels would eventually climb in to investigate.

Waiting for it - It took him a few days to get the shot he really wanted.

Just in time - However, he eventually succeed in getting the perfect shot. It was definitely worth the wait.
