Copyright infringement in the music industry can be tricky sometimes. While some songs accidentally sound like others, many hit tracks we know have actually used samples or riffs from older records without attributing proper credit, which can get artists in legal trouble. We also must consider, of course, that not all accusations are based in truth.
That's what a US court of appeals just found, to the satisfaction of Led Zeppelin. After battling a copyright dispute for years over the opening riff in 'Stairway to Heaven,' the courts have upheld a trial verdict in their favor.
