'Desperately Seeking Susan' actress Rosanna Arquette crashed her car into the Point Dume Village shopping center in Malibu on July 11, 2023, police told People magazine. “We can confirm Rosanna Arquette was involved in a traffic incident in Malibu,” they said of the 63-year-old actress, adding that "it appeared that the driver had possibly lost control of her vehicle," and that "at the time of the incident, it did not appear that she had any injuries." Los Angeles Fire Station 71 Captain Mike Rivera told The Malibu Times that the crash appeared to be a result of a failed attempt by the driver to park her car. “Around 9:45 a.m., a vehicle that was attempting to park, it was unknown exactly what happened, but instead of backing out, it went forward, and took out three pillars that support the roof," Rivera said. "Luckily no one was injured. We had two tables nearby but luckily no one was sitting there."

Khalid -

Ed Sheeran shared the news of Khalid's car accident on his + - = ÷ x ("Mathematics") Tour where Khalid was supposed to be the opening act. “He is recovering, and we wish him the best,” Sheeran explained in a fan-captured video. Sheeran then filled in for Khalid by opening for himself with an unplanned, pared-down set. Khalid's mom later revealed that the singer had pulled over when his car began overheating, moved into the passenger seat of the stationary vehicle, and was then hit by a passing car. He sustained minor injuries and is healing.

Pete Davidson and Chase Sui Wonders -

Pete Davidson and then-girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders were involved in a car accident on the evening of March 4, 2023, when their car hopped a curb, knocked over a fire hydrant, and then hit the side of a nearby house, TMZ reports. Luckily, no one was hurt. Police were called, though no arrests were made and it was determined that drugs and alcohol were not involved. Davidson was later charged with reckless driving.

Jeremy Renner -

Jeremy Renner, who famously plays Hawkeye in the MCU, was hospitalized on January 1, 2023, after being run over by a 14,330-lb snow plow near his home in Reno, Nevada. The actor was airlifted to the hospital where he was reported to be in "critical but stable condition" and underwent multiple surgeries. Renner later revealed that he had broken 30 bones. The actor spent months recovering and undergoing physical therapy.

Jay Leno -

Famed TV host and known car aficionado Jay Leno was in the garage where he stores his many cars in Burbank, Los Angeles, on November 12, 2022, when one of them suddenly erupted into flames. Sources told TMZ that the flames burned the left side of his face but luckily did not penetrate his eye or his ear, and he was taken to the Grossman Burn Center for treatment. 

"I got some serious burns from a gasoline fire," Leno said in a statement. "I am OK. Just need a week or two to get back on my feet." Leno reportedly owns about 180 vintage cars and around 160 motorcycles, a passion which is evident in his CNBC series 'Jay Leno’s Garage,' which has run for seven seasons.

Kamala Harris -

On October 3, 2022, Vice President Kamala Harris was being driven through Washington D.C. by a secret service agent in an SUV, surrounded by the usual motorcade that escorts her. Harris's driver struck the curb and the procession of vehicles were forced to stop so the Vice President could be moved to a new vehicle. Luckily, it was a minor incident and no one was injured, but the purpose of a motorcade is to protect the person being transported. One of the first rules is to avoid stopping as much as possible. In this case, not only did they stop, but Harris had to leave the safety of the vehicle. It might have been no biggie as far as car accidents go, but for a motorcade transporting the Vice President, it was pretty disastrous!

Scott Disick -

Scott Disick somehow managed to roll his Lamborghini SUV over in a one-car wreck on August 21, 2022. He was reportedly alone in the car and luckily only sustained minor injuries, according to TMZ, though the photos of his banged-up car look much worse. Speed is suspected to be a factor in the accident, which appears to have occurred as Disick's vehicle collided with a stone mailbox. His car was towed from the scene but he was not cited.

Anne Heche -

Emmy-winning actress Anne Heche was driving a blue Mini Cooper the morning of August 5, 2022, when she crashed into a home in the Mar Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles, causing the residence to catch fire as well as severe burn injuries to herself as the vehicle "came to rest 30 feet inside the two-story home," the Los Angeles Fire Department reported on Twitter. One woman was home at the time of the crash and was luckily unharmed. Heche, however, was hospitalized in a serious condition.

Anne Heche -

Despite initial reports that she was stable, Heche soon lost consciousness and slipped into a coma. Within a week she was declared brain-dead and passed away on August 11. Blood tests determined that she was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash.

Jackie Walorski -

Congresswoman Jackie Walorski was killed in a collision in Indiana on August 3, 2022, along with two young staffers. Walorski was driving with Zachery Potts, 27, and Emma Thomson, 28, when a driver coming in the opposite direction veered into her lane. The two cars collided head-on and Walorski, Potts, Thompson, and the other driver were all killed. Walorski was 58 years old and had been serving as a congresswoman for the state of Indiana since 2013. She and her young colleagues are remembered as dedicated public servants who cared deeply about their work.

Jason Momoa -

Jason Momoa was involved in a scary head-on road collision in July 2022, when his car crashed with a motorcycle. According to TMZ, the actor was driving near the Calabasas area when a biker coming from the opposite direction swerved into his lane while coming around a curve. Though the biker bounced off Momoa’s windshield, he reportedly managed to land on his feet, and was later transported to hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Momoa himself is also fine, and no one was blamed.

Jared Padalecki -

Jensen Ackles revealed that his 'Supernatural' co-star and best bud Jared Padalecki was involved in a serious car accident. Ackles shared that Padalecki was in the passenger seat and that there were no fatalities, but that his friend was "lucky to be alive." He went on, "And not only that, but he's at home recovering which—the fact that he's not in a hospital right now is blowing my mind because I saw the car." Although Padalecki got away relatively lightly considering the severity of the crash, he did say he felt like he'd gone 12 rounds with Mike Tyson afterward. Ackles later confirmed that Padalecki was on his way to full recovery.

Arnold Schwarzenegger -

Arnold Schwarzenegger was involved in a multi-vehicle crash on the evening of January 21, 2022, in Los Angeles. The actor and former California Governor was driving through the neighborhood of Brentwood in a GMC Yukon that collided with a red Prius, rolling over the smaller vehicle before continuing to rotate and impacting with a Porsche Cayenne, TMZ reports. The driver of the Prius sustained a head injury and was taken to the hospital in an ambulance, and a representative for Schwarzenegger told People magazine, "He is fine, his only concern right now is for the woman who was injured."

Alyssa Milano -

Alyssa Milano was involved in a car accident on August 17, 2021, though she was sitting in the passenger seat. Her 63-year-old uncle was driving the 2020 Ford Edge SUV when he suffered what authorities have said is a possible heart attack while driving on a Los Angeles freeway, People reports. He became unconscious, drifted into another lane, and hit a passing Black SUV, but "with the assistance of a good Samaritan," they eventually brought the Ford to a stop, and Milano was luckily "uninjured." She reportedly gave her uncle CPR until first responders arrived. Milano later tweeted, "We should all take every opportunity we have to protect the people we love. Get vaccinated. Wear masks. Lock up your guns. Learn CPR. Small, common-sense actions. It’s not hard to take care of each other, but it is important."

Jeffree Star -

YouTuber Jeffree Star was in a severe car accident with his friend on the morning of April 16, 2021, after hitting black ice in Casper, Wyoming, which sent the car into a snow bank where it flipped three times. The next day, Star shared a video update on Instagram while sitting in a wheelchair, explaining that he can leave the hospital but has to wear a back brace for a few months. "And my back is really broke," he added, "My vertebrae, three of them are not attached right now. And I am in the most excruciating pain ever." The makeup artist later also shared that he is thankful that his Rolls-Royce "is built with highly reinforced steel because it saved our lives."

Tiger Woods -

Golf legend Tiger Woods was driving in Rancho Palos Verdes the morning of February 23, 2021, when his SUV crossed a median and veered across two lanes before hitting a curb, a tree, and then finally landing on its side in the brush. Woods remained conscious but sustained serious leg injuries, requiring a lengthy emergency surgery which included the insertion of a rod, screws, and pins to stabilize his leg, according to a statement on his Twitter. Officials say the fact that Woods was wearing his seatbelt likely saved his life.

Miles Teller - When he was 20, the actor nearly died. His friend lost control of the car and they flipped eight times, throwing Teller out of the window, leaving him with multiple scars and gravel underneath his skin.

While driving home after a late studio session in 2002, West fell asleep at the wheel and crashed his car into an oncoming vehicle. The driver of the other car broke both of his legs, while West shattered his jaw. His first hit single, 'Through the Wire,' was actually recorded with his jaw wired shut.

Helen Hunt was involved in a car accident in Los Angeles on October 16, 2019 that ended with her in the hospital. The vehicle she was in got T-boned and rolled over (she was riding in the SUV's backseat). Fortunately, she was released from the hospital that very evening. Police ultimately determined that "there was no crime committed."
