The 'Parks and Recreation' star and stand-up comedian known just as Retta, came to the defense of Aziz Ansari after he was accused of sexual misconduct.
"I feel like a lot of people and a lot of other outlets were like, 'Why did you even run this story?'" Retta said of the article that was run in Babe.com, detailing Ansari's alleged sexual misconduct. She goes on to add that “I’m giving my personal opinion, and I don’t want f***ing people coming at me. You know what I mean? But I feel like I’ve been on that date so many times. I was like, 'If you haven’t been on that date twice, are you even living a life?'" Retta said.
The article detailed a date between a photographer, known as Grace, and Ansari, where she allegedly used verbal and non-verbal cues to tell Ansari she was not comfortable with their sexual encounter.
Retta has been making headlines recently for her new book 'So Close to Being the S***, Y’all Don’t Even Know' and upcoming series 'Good Girls.'
