The Portuguese soccer star keeps breaking records!

Cristiano Ronaldo has been revealed as the highest-paid athlete of 2024. The Portuguese soccer player has topped the 100 highest-paid athletes list compiled by Sportico, which includes athletes from eight sports and 27 countries, but features no women.
Ronaldo landed his place at the top by earning a reported US$260 million, $215 million of which came from his salary and winnings and $45 million through endorsements. Second place on the list goes to NBA superstar Stephen Curry, earning an estimated $100 million less than Ronaldo. He is followed by Tyson Fury ($147 million), Lionel Messi ($135 million), and LeBron James ($133.2 million), who complete the top five.
No women are featured on the top 100 highest-paid athletes list of 2024. US tennis star Coco Gauff was the highest-earning woman, and is estimated to have earned $30.4 million in 2024, which is $7 million less than Minnesota Vikings quarterback Daniel Jones, who took the last spot on the top 100.
Both Ronaldo’s career and his earnings gained a boost when he moved to the Al-Nassr team in Saudi Arabia and became the first man to ever achieve 900 career goals. However, this isn’t the first time he has made history on the field.
