This year the Oscars were a victory for Britain’s cinematic talent. Gary Oldman took home the coveted Best Actor award, while ‘Dunkirk’ and ‘Darkest Hour’ took home technical trophies. Stars from ‘Hollyoaks’ also took home an Academy Award for their short film ‘The Silent Child’. American actors like Allison Janney, Sam Rockwell, and Frances McDormand took home the other acting trophies. But where can you see the Oscar-winners next? Here’s a rundown of the the next projects from the big winners.
Gary Oldman will star in thriller ‘Hunter Killer’, due out later this year. The film is directed by Donovan Marsh and also stars Oscar nominees Willem Dafoe and Common. Frances McDormand is set to impress in ‘Isle of Dogs’, released in March. McDormand will voice an unnamed character in the canine animation directed by Wes Anderson. Sam Rockwell has many films on the way this year, including the Ethan Hawke-directed drama ‘Blaze’. Allison Janney isn’t known to be involved with any films this year but may return in the sitcom ‘Mom’, which finished its fifth season last year.
