BUSTED: Aussie sporting stars’ getting in trouble -

Australian Kangaroos recently announced their new captain, Greg Inglis. Just hours after the announcement, Inglis was caught speeding and drink driving in NSW.

Let's take a trip down troublesome lane and remember all the outrageous antics certain sporting stars have gotten themselves into.

Greg Inglis - Freshly announced as the captain of the national rugby league team, Inglis reportedly was on his way to Syndey when his license was suspended for driving with a blood-alcohol level of .085.

Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs - The most recent Mad Monday antics got the Bulldogs in big trouble. They were fined $250,000 by the NRL for getting naked at their end of season celebrations - that's approximately $50,000 per butt photographed.

Mitchell Pierce - In 2016, Pierce's Australia Day celebrations consisted of wetting himself on someone's couch and simulating lewd acts with a dog, which was all caught on film. He was fined $125,000 by the NRL and suspended.

Todd Carney - In 2014, Carney thought it would be funny to urinate in his own mouth. Photos were taken and circulated. But when Cronulla Sharks became aware of it they terminated their contract with Carney, jeopardising his NRL career.

Nick Riewoldt - Although not Riewoldt's fault, a teenage girl posted nude photos of him that she found on teammate Sam Gilbert's computer, along with Zac Dawson and Nick Dal Santo.

As it was a breach of their privacy, the footballers were not penalised.

Andrew Johns - In 2007, Johns was dropped by the Wallabies after being arrested in London for being in possession of an ecstasy pill. He admitted he had regularly used illicit drugs throughout his career.

Ryan Stig - For a man who played a very hands-on game against other men, Stig was quite vocal about his opinions against homosexuality, leading the Newcastle Knights to distance themselves from him.

Brendan Fevola - With a football career littered with off-field misbehaviour, including theft, public urination, assaults and an extramarital affair with Lara Bingle, Brisbane Lions were given the last straw in 2011 when Fev was arrested.

Jake Carlisle - Similar to Inglis, Carlisle was recruited by St Kilda and mere hours later was videoed snorting a white substance. The club suspended him.

Greg Bird - Bird was found guilty of glassing his girlfriend in 2008, and subsequently lost his contract with the Cronulla Sharks.

Although the verdict was overturned, as evidence showed it was an accident, the damage had already been done.

Matthew Johns - It was revealed in 2009 that Johns, who was playing for Cronulla Sharks, participated in a group-sex act in 2002.

He dismissed claims that it was non-consensual and no charges were laid.

Nick Kyrgios - Kyrgios' potty mouth was directed at opponent Wawrinka at the 2015 Rogers' Open, offending him, his girlfriend and fellow Aussie tennis player Kokkinakis in the process.

He was given a 28-day suspended sentence and fined.

Leigh Matthews - On the field Matthews was a star, except for when he threw a round-arm at Geelong player Neville Bruns, breaking his jaw.

Matthews was charged with assault by police, and suspended from the AFL.

Phil Carmen - Carmen was known for his rough-housing, but he really pushed his luck when he head-butted an umpire.

He received a 20-week suspension.

Kevin Muscat - Aggressive tackling led to one of the worst red cards in Melbourne Victory's history.

Muscat scissor-tackled Adrian Zahra leading to a serious knee injury. Muscat received an 8-week suspension.

Lleyton Hewitt - In 2001, Hewitt was heard making racist comments during the US Open, against America's James Blake and a linesman - both of whom are people of colour.

John Hopoate - In an attempt to "unsettle" his opponents, Hopoate attempted to insert his finger into their anus.

He called them "wedgies" when speaking to the rugby league judiciary.

Trevor Chappell - In 1981, Aussie Chappell delivered an under-arm ball under his brother's instruction because New Zealand only needed six off the final ball to win a 1981 one-day international.

This ensured they didn't get it. Kiwi cricket fans still bring up Australia's hollow win to this day.

Peter Filandia - In a horrifying VFL game, Filandia bit the scrotum of opponent Chad Davis. Disgraced, he received a 10-match ban.

Clinton Jones - In an awful series events, St Kilda's Mad Monday antics of 2013 started with a dwarf entertainer being set on fire by Jones, and ended with an insulting email from Leigh Montagna stating that the man set alight "did not make any effort" to entertain them.

Chris Tarrant - In 2007, Tarrant allegedly exposed his behind to a lady at a nightclub, and when a Federal ALP candidate intervened, Tarrant decked him. AFL fined him $5,000 and suspended him.

David Dench - AFL legend Dench was charged with counts of obtaining property by deception, and aid and abet receipt of a secret commission against Victoria University in 2008.

Heath Shaw - Drink driving and crashing into parked cars was not the best move for Collingwood player Shaw.

He registered a blood alcohol reading of .144 and later admitted the passenger in the car with him was senior player Adam Didak. They were both banned for the rest of the 2008 season.

Daniel Kerr - Although no charges were laid, Kerr was caught on tape discussing the horse sedative ketamine with a convicted drug dealer.

Heath Scotland - Unfortunately, a pub brawl with footballers isn't uncommon, but Scotland's incident was the most unacceptable.

He was convicted of king-hitting a patron in the face and leaving him unconscious. He was placed on a two-year good behaviour bond.

Jim Krakouer - In 1996, this AFL player was convicted of drug smuggling and given 16 years in prison, to which he only served 9 before being released on work release.

Andrew Krakouer - Son of Jim, Andrew was found guilty of assault with intent to cause bodily harm in 2008 and sentenced to four years in jail. Later he returned to AFL.

Gary Ablett Senior - A horrifying incident ensued in 2000 when Alisha Horan, aged 20, and Ablett were in a hotel room together consuming drugs and alcohol.

Horan overdosed and died. He was convicted of four drug offences and fined $1500.

Billie Smedts and Josh Caddy - In an attempt to prank fellow teammate Jackson Thurlow by breaking into his new home, they broke into the wrong house and were subsequently held at gunpoint. Police were called and the two were given cautions.
