BBC presenter Rachael Bland has been given "days" to live. Bland made the announcement on Twitter. "In the words of the legendary Frank S - I’m afraid the time has come my friends", she wrote. "I’m told I’ve only got days. It’s very surreal".

The 40-year-old newsreader was diagnosed with breast cancer back in 2016. She previously revealed that she was in a "race against time", as reported by BBC News. Bland is working on publishing a memoir for Freddie, her two-year-old son.

The presenter found out her cancer was "incurable" earlier this year. Bland has been posting updates on her blog, 'Big C. Little Me.'. Many friends and colleagues voiced their support for Bland on social media.

Support also came flooding in from fans and viewers.

Speaking with the BBC, Bland said she felt "overwhelmed by all the wonderful messages". She also said "whatever happens, I feel like I have such amazing support from everyone". Follow StarsInsider for all future updates from the world of show business.
