After a long wait, the funk master has returned with new music. George Clinton's band, Parliament, released their new album ‘Medicaid Fraud Dogg.’
A lengthy endeavor, the album has 23 songs, including the previously released track ‘I’m Gon Make U Sick of Me,’ featuring Scarface. The album was released despite the fact that Clinton has announced he will retire from touring completely in 2019, according to NME.
Explaining his decision, Clinton said, “Anyone who has been to the shows over the past couple of years has noticed that I’ve been out front less and less,” he explained. “Truth be told, it’s never really been about me. It’s always been about the music and the band. That’s the real P-Funk legacy. They’ll still be funkin’ long after I stop.”
The last time audiences saw music under the Parliament name was with their 1980’s studio LP 'Trombipulation.' You can check out ‘Medicaid Fraud Dogg’ on Spotify here.
