There are many incredible Greek mythology stories to revisit. Some teach us important life lessons, others explore themes that provoke thoughtful reflections about our own lives. The myth of Orpheus and Eurydice is no different. Orpheus, an extraordinary musician, falls in love with Eurydice, a name meaning a rendition of 'true justice.' She dies soon after they marry. Devastated, Orpheus makes his way into the underworld in an attempt to retrieve her. Hades, the God of the underworld, agrees under the condition that Orpheus walks ahead of Eurydice, not looking back until they arrive in the upper world.
